FireMice? October 14, 2008

Hi! my real name is Chooi Kam Tat. I am a humble Malaysian. I was born in Batu Pahat (Johor) at year 1984. I spent my babyhood and early childhood in Simpang Renggam (johor).  Living in Simpang Renggam was not easy for me and I had alot of tough experiences. Back then I was a small punk always get bullied by girls and other kids. We lived beside a jungle. Animals like monkeys, dogs, cow could be found everywhere. My childhood memories are very violent: I was chased by dogs during my playtime at streets, Monkeys threw fruits when I went outside my house, I got bitten by dogs (I’d a few permanent dog’s bite scars), annoyed by ugly baby sisters. These explained why I’m extremely violent these days. I moved to Kuala Lumpur when I hit my teenage age. I graduated from UTM and become an E&E engineer. Now I’m at my mid 20’s and everything seems possible.

Why FireMice?

Nick name FireMice was an accidental thought created in my imagination when I first heard the name “TigerWood“. The name Tiger+Wood was so cool to me. “Tiger” an animal combine with its habitat “Wood” is a powerful synergy. It has the feeling of inner fierce & inner peace, Ice & Fire, Ying & Yang, Horny & Lucky….. So I decided to find a nickname to rival Mr.Tiger… it is something like Fire vs Woods and Tiger vs Mice.  It creates a win-win situation.

What I do

I do music. I played a few strings instruments. I’m proud that I’m still pursuing my music learning opportunity. I swim quite frequently. I enjoyed outdoor and hanging out with friends.
